How we work
Source. Every case starts with a first report: human-rights projects, independent media, courts and agencies. Statements by the authorities are the prosecution's version, not an established fact.
Verification. A case reported by a single source goes to an editor and is published with attribution. Two reprints of one report count as one source.
Corrections. We correct errors openly, with a note in the text.
Privacy. No logins, no forms, no third-party analytics; web server logs are kept for 7 days and contain no IP addresses.
Draft. The editor will rewrite this page.
